First
New Nightly Lottery Draw Game in Seven Years Now On Sale
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (February 25,
2019) -- The Kentucky Lottery has launched the first new in-state nightly draw
game in seven years. Kentuckys Quick Bucks is now available at all
Kentucky Lottery retailers.
The $1 game, available only in
Kentucky, will be part of the Lotterys nightly draw offerings taking
place at 11 PM Eastern every night. The draw show can be watched on the
Lotterys website at kylottery.com.
Much like the Powerball or Mega
Millions games, Kentuckys Quick Bucks players will pick numbers drawn
from two different machines.

 |
They will pick four numbers from a
field of 31 in one machine, and one Kentucky Ball number from a field of five
in the second. Players can win from $2 for matching only the Kentucky Ball, and
up to the top prize of $50,000 by matching all 4 numbers plus the Kentucky
Ball.
Several features of the game make it
unique, including the ability for players to win additional prizes if their
numbers are drawn in the same order displayed on their tickets, and the ability
to place a $5 WHEEL bet where players get all five Kentucky Ball numbers on
their ticket (and are guaranteed a minimum $2 win). Kentucky is the first state
to ever offer this type of wager.
The game joins Pick 3, Pick 4,
CashBall 225 and 5 Card Cash which are also drawn every evening.
We hope players like this
new draw game, and I think the WHEEL bet is going to be a unique component
theyll really respond to, said Kentucky Lottery President and
CEO Tom Delacenserie. As is the case with everything we do, any
additional revenue we can generate from new games like this helps send kids to
college. Thats a motivator which drives us every day.

North
Carolinians Can Nominate a School Hero for a $10,000 Award
Program celebrates those
who help our students achieve their dreams
RALEIGH, North Carolina (February
27, 2019) -- A program is underway to recognize and honor N.C. School Heroes -
those who help our students achieve their dreams with awards of $10,000
to ten School Heroes and $10,000 to their schools.
The N.C. Education Lottery created
the program as part of its support of public education in North Carolina and to
help raise awareness of how the money raised by the lottery benefits the
state.
 |
Every school has their
heroes, said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education
Lottery. Every day they stop at nothing to help our students achieve
their dreams. This year, were proud to offer to North Carolinians a
chance to say, in a big collective way, thanks for all of what they
do.
The web site, ncschoolheroes.com,
allows people to post a story about their School Hero and a photo and then vote
on the ones they like the best. North Carolinians have until March 31 to post a
nomination or vote on their favorites.
More than 1,300 nominations have
already been posted at the N.C. School Heroes website, with at least one from
86 of North Carolinas 100 counties. Many more are expected over the
coming weeks. Thousands of votes already have been cast for the most popular
School Hero stories.
Money raised by the lottery assists
many of those School Heroes, including $385 million this year that supports the
work of school support staff such as office assistants and custodians. This
year additional money raised by the lottery is helping to build and repair
schools, supporting the N.C. Pre-K program for at-risk four-year-olds,
providing college scholarships and grants based on financial need, and
supporting school transportation.
As North Carolinians share their
School Hero stories, they can discover on the website how money raised by the
lottery benefits their own communities. All 100 counties of the state get
support for education programs from money raised by the lottery. Last year, the
lottery raised more than $670 million for public education.
Its important for the
mission of the lottery that North Carolinians can see and understand how
lottery money is used, said Michalko. To help get that information
to the public, we created the School Heroes campaign. Along the way, we get to
spotlight the work of a lot of good people in our schools.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (February 22,
2019) --Robert McAlister of Malvern was randomly selected today as the second
of two winners of the Arkansas Scholarship Lotterys (ASL) Willy Wonka

dad, who he hasnt seen in 12 years, lives in Las Vegas so he is looking
forward to reconnecting with him.

We have stayed in touch,
but we just havent been able to get together, McAlister said.
It is great that winning this trip will give me the opportunity to see
him. My 15-year-old son has never met his granddad so I would love to take him

Golden Tickets into the promotion through the ASLs players
club, The Club.
His prize includes round-trip
airfare for two to Las Vegas April 14-17, 2019, three nights
accommodations at a deluxe hotel, and $1,000 spending money.
The Billion Dollar Challenge
is scheduled for April 16 with prize-winners from other participating lottery
jurisdictions.

a cash prize from $1,000 up to $1 billion along with Albert Pyle of Mabelvale
who also won Arkansass Second-Chance Promotion trip to Las Vegas.
McAlister said he is involved with
his sons athletic activities and enjoys being able to help other youth
who maybe dont have the money to buy football shoes or a meal after a
game.
I want to help those who need
it, he said.

admiring the local beauty depicted on these tickets and dreaming of winning
big!
There are three different tickets,
each with a beautiful rendering of iconic Arizona objects and native wildlife:
a whimsical 7-shaped piñata with candies to scratch off, a 7-shaped Gila
monster crawling across the desert sand with eggs and cacti to scratch off, and
a Cactus Wren (Arizonas state bird) perched on a blooming cactus, forming
a 7 with shining suns and cactus flowers to scratch off. Besides celebrating
the unique flavor of the Grand Canyon State, Arizona 7 is also about winning,

Court
Determines Promotional Text for Online Gambling Equates to
Advertising
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (February 21,
2019) -- The Court of The Hague has determined in a recent judgment that
promotional texts for online games of chance are seen as advertisements. They
therefore fall under 'promoting' games of chance. The Betting and Gaming Act
prohibits this if the game of chance in question does not have a license. This
is an important statement for the Gaming Authority: it makes it easier to
combat illegal online gambling.
 |
The Gaming Authority (Ksa) had
imposed a cease and desist order on the Content Publishing Limited company in
Malta. This company published promotional texts for online gambling on various
websites. They are illegal in the Netherlands. From the websites of Content
Publishing it was possible to click through to the sites on which the online
games of chance could actually be played. With the cease and desist order the
Ksa wanted to ensure that Content Publishing would stop this activity; there
was insufficient hearing on previous reminders from the Ksa.
'Editorial information'
Content Publishing challenged the
Ksa in court. Content Publishing argued that the Ksa explained the prohibition
of promotion in the Betting and Gaming Act too broadly and that it was
'editorial information'. The judge did not take part in this: it appears
'sufficient that the primary goal (..) consisted of forwarding potential
players to online casino game providers'. The judge says that the Ksa rightly
stated that this is a form of promoting games of chance.
Important statement
René Jansen, chairman of the
board of directors of the Ksa, says that this is an important statement. "This
is the first time the judge has ruled in a case like this. Now it is clear that
publishing a promotional text is seen as advertising. This statement offers the
Ksa possibilities to act if advertising is made in this way for games of chance
that do not have a license. '

Largest National Safer Gambling Campaign Bet Regret
Launches
Bet Regret aims to
support 2.4m young men, the group at highest risk, to avoid developing a
gambling problem by driving self-reflection about their
gambling
LONDON, U.K. (February 21, 2019)
GambleAware, the independent charity tasked with reducing gambling harms
in Great Britain, has launched Bet Regret, a safer gambling
campaign designed to raise awareness of impulsive betting in order to encourage
moderation and reduce gambling-related harm.
 |
The Bet Regret' campaign is
one of a number of commitments to come out of the Government's Gambling Review
to ensure that the sector is socially responsible and doing all it should to
protect consumers and communities.
Bet Regret describes the universal
feeling of remorse sports bettors often get when they make an impulsive bet
the kind of bet that bettors say they will know they will kick
themselves for the moment they made it.
Targeted at the audience estimated
at 2.4m young men aged 16-34 who gamble regularly on sport, mainly online, the
campaign aims to drive self-reflection, as well as help their friends and
partners recognise the warning signs of Bet Regret.
The campaign was developed after
extensive research, consultations with academic experts and several waves of
focus groups with frequent sports bettors.
Around 2 million adults suffer some
level of harm related to gambling, including 340,000 that are considered to be
problem gamblers.
A survey conducted by Ipsos MORI on
behalf of GambleAware provides a snapshot of the current attitudes and
behaviours of younger male sports bettors. 63% of respondents also said that
there are too many opportunities to bet nowadays, with 67% agreeing that it is
easy to get drawn in to make impulsive bets (see notes for sample details,
questions and data tables).
Minister for Sport and Civil Society
Mims Davies said: "This groundbreaking joint campaign will make people think
hard about their betting habits, assist to remove the stigma around gambling
addiction and give people more courage to say they need help.
It is crucial that we both focus on
prevention as well as cure and this campaign will help to educate people to
recognise risky play.
I am determined to deliver more
collaborative work to help to change behaviours to reduce the threat of problem
gambling."
Professor Sian Griffiths,
GambleAware Trustee and Deputy Chair, Public Health England (interim) said:
The Bet Regret campaign is about raising awareness of behaviours that
people might not always recognise as impulsive or risky, such as sports betting
when drunk, bored or chasing losses.
We want people to identify with the
campaign, realise they too have those kick-yourself moments when betting and
reflect on their behaviours, thus preventing future ill-considered bets which
are so often the pathway towards harm.
The three adverts at the centrepiece
of the Bet Regret campaign identify the environments and situations that can
lead sports bettors to make the type of impulsive bets that they immediately
regret in a relatable way that will invite gamblers to think twice before
placing such bets.
 |
The first advertisement reveals a
bettor furtively moving from sofa to kitchen as a bet he has made is lost. As
he seeks to win back his money by chasing his losses, he finds himself pitch
side at QPRs Loftus Road stadium, facing questions about his decision to
do so from BT Sports Matt Smith and former international footballers Dean
Saunders and Danny Gabbidon.
GambleAware established the Safer
Gambling Board, which is made up of representatives from Public Health England,
the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, the London South Bank
University Centre for Addictive Behaviours Research and GambleAware itself,
after being
invited by the Minister responsible
for gambling policy to design and deliver a campaign, based on best practice in
public health education.
The campaign is being funded through
specific, additional donations to the charity, in line with a commitment given
to the government by the broadcasting, advertising and gambling industries.
It is one part of GambleAwares
wide-ranging actions to reduce gambling-related harm by considering
individuals, the products and the environment in which they are found.
The new campaign will run in
parallel with ongoing advertising and outreach activities to promote the help
and support available for those who experience problem gambling, and their
friends and family, through BeGambleAware.org and the National Gambling
Helpline 0808 8020133.

García Santillán
highlighted the continuity as a line of work and said, 'in addition to
presenting ourselves as Unit Coordinator, I want to thank my predecessor, and
clarify that the spirit is to coordinate, therefore, continue with the same
task with enthusiasm of having assumed this role.
From the Government of the City the
guideline is to emphasize in deepening in this table that conforms in ALEA,
that we can contribute nuances and singularities of each territory, in which we
agree in many aspects and not others. Therefore, to deepen the
coincidences'.
For its part, the Dra. Carolina

honor to accompany what we have been doing in ALEA, with the union of the 24

topic of prevention of money laundering and because we are all committed to
fighting this scourge, with the challenge of collaborating in prevention
policies at the national level with the Financial Information Unit (FIU) and
preparing for 2021, year in which the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) comes
to our country to evaluate us. Therefore, it is very important to work on risk

Comprehensive Report Shows Gaming Industrys Commitment to
Communities
WASHINGTON, D.C.
Dear Gaming Colleague,
As leading employers, community
partners and entertainment providers, gaming companies have a rich history of
creating careers, driving economic activity in communities across the country
and ensuring that gaming patrons have the tools they need to engage in our
offerings responsibly.
Of course, that may be preaching to
the proverbial choir, but the industrys commitment to these important
endeavors is often overlooked. To better define our collective efforts, the AGA
is proud to release a first-of-its kind,
comprehensive industry responsibility report.
Classified
Advertisement |
 |
While many of you release CSR
reports annually, we are one of the first industries in the country to
collectively do this, and the results are impressive:
- Our employees contribute nearly five times more
volunteer hours per person than the tech industry, for a grand total of more
than 422,000 hours per year;
- AGA members give generously to support community
causes, reporting more than $367 million in charitable giving last year alone;
and
- We outpace most private sector industries in our
commitment to instituting green building and water conservation programs,
diverting more than 100,000 tons of waste away from landfills last year.
This report reflects input from AGA
members, so we know it only begins to scratch the surface of the economic and
social impact of the industrys responsibility efforts. But we are proud
to begin a more proactive effort of telling this story and look forward to
adding to the many significant metrics and impressive stories included in this
first report.
Thank you to all of you who
contributed to this effort and to all gaming industry professionals and
companies whose commitments truly make the industry stand out in the critical
area of responsibility.

A renowned industry leader Mr. Tim
Kobe (Founder of Eight Inc,), who is popularly known as the visionary behind
Apples iconic stores has been specially invited to be our Keynote
Speaker. To quote an article, Kobe believes that studying the humanities
can help build empathy. A lack of empathy often goes hand-in-hand with a lack
of awareness about the human experience that a particular piece of technology
creates, which will restrict its widespread adoption, thus preventing true
innovation. Tech companies and products, even entire countries, Kobe said, need
to be designed with human experience in mind.
Various Industry experts will also
present on how we can captivate and reach out to the Digital Natives via
channels that are pervasive to them.
Panelists comprising of
representatives from WLA and APLA will also present on how digitalization have
brought forth both opportunities and challenges to the Lottery industry.
We hope you will take home nuggets
of knowledge and updates and embark onto your own Organisations
transformational journey if you have not already started.
The Networking day will take us to
Ba Na Hills, an area founded by the French colonials at 1919 and only lately,
investors have transformed this whole place which is now referred to as the
climate pearl of Vietnam. It's located 1487m above the ground and
boasts of chiller weather and fresh air.
