service rationalisation to deliver more benefits to the WA community.
Professor Klinken's contribution to

Kentucky Lottery Sales Dip Slightly In Q1
Current Powerball and
Mega Millions runs are closing the gap
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (October 11,
2018) -- In todays meeting of the Kentucky Lottery Board of Directors, it
was announced that first quarter sales for FY19 (July 1 thru September 30)
dipped 2% compared to the previous year.
Overall sales for the period were
$250.6 million, which is $5.2 million less than the same period in FY18.
According to Vice President and Corporate Controller Maggie Garrison, Powerball
was the big culprit. That game was really an outlier, dropping 47.1% or
$12.1 million alone, she said. This is due primarily to a nice
Powerball run that was ongoing during that period last year. However,
were currently in very healthy jackpot runs in both the Powerball and
Mega Millions games, so we will close that gap.
The lotterys largest-selling
product line scratch-off tickets rose $3 million (2.1%) in the
same period to $148.2 million.

Buntin Group for advertising and related services for digital media, and;
- Rules and regulations for nine scratch-off tickets,

Study
Shows More Americans Support Legalized Sports Gambling
Published By: Jules Norwood (ECU
News Services)
GREENVILLE, NC (October 16, 2018) --
A new report using data from the Life, Liberty, and Happiness survey conducted
by East Carolina Universitys Center for Survey Research confirms that
many Americans support legalized gambling on professional sports. Earlier this
year, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the federal law prohibiting states from
authorizing sports gambling, and the states of New Jersey, Delaware,
Mississippi and West Virginia responded by legalizing sports betting.
The survey results show differences
of opinion based on gender, age and income, but not along political lines. Men,
younger Americans and those with household incomes above $120,000 are more
likely to agree that gambling should be legal. Republicans (50 percent) and
Democrats (48 percent) fall within the range of statistical error.
 |
With nearly half of the
U.S. states, as well as the U.S. Congress, now currently considering sports
betting legislation, the issue of legalized sports gambling is likely to remain
a major legislative issue at the state and federal levels for months, even
years to come, said Dr. Peter Francia, director of the Center for
Survey Research. The current state of public opinion on legalized
sports gambling is thereby an important political matter.
The ECU Life, Liberty and Happiness
Project is a nationwide survey of more than 1,100 Americans conducted in May
and June by the Center for Survey Research at ECU using mail, internet and
phone surveys to reach adults across the country. Results are weighted to be
representative of the U.S. population.
The projects purpose is to
highlight shared experiences among Americans as well as identify
differences.
The initial report on the Life,
Liberty, and Happiness survey, released in July, showed that a majority of
Americans are satisfied with their lives, that only 23 percent trust the media,
and that 1 in 10 adults live in a home with unsecured and loaded firearms.
After Murphy V. National
Collegiate Athletic Association
The State of Public Opinion on the
Legalization of Professional Sports Gambling
Survey findings include:
- More Americans agree than disagree that gambling on
professional sports should be legal, by a margin of 47 percent to 26
percent.
- There is little partisan divide on this issue, with
only a 2 percent difference between Republicans and Democrats.
- Men are more likely to agree than women, by a
margin of 57 percent to 38 percent.
- Only 28 percent of Americans over age 75 support
legalized gambling, compared to 57 percent of those between age 18 and 24.

alone in about six weeks. We are approaching the event. '
And he continued: 'I want to thank
ALEA and Alfredo Monaco, we think that the Congress will be a success. As you

welcome you with open arms. It will be an unforgettable event for all the
regions that make up the association. '
On the end of the visit, Lynne
Roiter, stressed that participants of the event coming from Latin America and
Central America, despite not being members of the WLA can access the value of

increase the participation of Argentina and the member countries of CIBELAE to
access this unique event that provides an unparalleled opportunity to meet
people from other parts of the world, as was done in Asia in the last WL S.
