State to receive record
$281 million for teacher and public safety pensions and Build Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (August 16,
2016) -- With record sales in both Scratch-off and Draw products, the Hoosier
Lottery projects that it will provide $281 million, a 16.0% increase over
FY2015, to the State of Indiana from the fiscal year ending June 30,
2016. Sarah M. Taylor, Executive Director of the Hoosier Lottery, today
reported to the State Lottery Commission of Indiana that unaudited results for
the fiscal year showed that Hoosier Lottery total revenue was $1.2 billion.
Lottery winners received over $772
million in prize payments, and more than 4,500 retail partners earned $82
million in commissions. She noted that sales performance of both
Scratch-off and Draw games were strong and were bolstered by the large
Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots experienced within the fiscal year.

Hoosier Lottery. We will provide $60 million to the pension funds for
Indianas teachers, and local police officers and firefighters, and our

Banknote Wins Contract as Primary Scratch Game Supplier to the Minnesota State
WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Canada (August
18, 2016) Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) (Pollard
Banknote) is pleased to announce that following a competitive procurement
process, it has been awarded a four-year contract to serve as the primary
scratch game supplier to the Minnesota State Lottery (Minnesota
Lottery). Under this agreement, Pollard Banknote will continue as
the Lotterys primary scratch game vendor, but expects to increase ticket
volumes supplied, with a guarantee in the new contract of at least 70% of all
scratch games purchased for every year of the contract. The new contract runs
until June 30, 2020 with the potential for two one-year contract extensions.
The contract value is estimated to be approximately $11.2 million (USD) over

Appointed to Support the Development and Introduction of the New National
Online Self-Exclusion Scheme (NOSES)

-- The Remote Gambling Association (RGA) announced today that it has retained
the services of KPMG to (i) undertake a scoping study which will help to shape
the development of NOSES; and (ii) to support and advise the RGA during the

Commission wrote to all remote gambling licence holders to inform them that it
had decided that the industry should now take forward the project to design,
introduce and run a national online self-exclusion system.
The aim of the project is to provide
consumers with a single process whereby they can self-exclude themselves from
all online gambling operators that are licensed by the Gambling Commission.

measures that are available to help people to manage their gambling and will
signpost specialist advice and support services for those who might benefit

Lottery Announces Record-Breaking Transfer to the Legislative Lottery
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (August 15,
2016) -- The New Mexico Lottery is delivering its highest profits ever.
We are excited to announce
a return of $46.3 million approximately $5.2 million more than last
years return to the Legislative Lottery Scholarship fund for
Fiscal Year 2016, announced David Barden, New Mexico Lottery CEO.
Barden said the years revenues
are the result of numerous initiatives that led to an increase in
Scratchers sales, coupled with Powerball® sales. Without one or the
other, the Lottery would not have delivered a record return.
The years net sales were
approximately $154.3 million, up $17.3 million (12.65%) from last year.
From net sales, players won $84.8 million and retailers earned $10 million for
selling tickets and cashing prizes.

anniversary on April 27. Since 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $700.9

Network Report A Solid and Profitable 1Q 2016 and is Progressing in Line With

LONDON, U.K. (August 12, 2016) --
ZEAL Group continued its solid and profitable development in the first six
months of 2016. With four new instant win games launched in the period,
strengthening the Group's customer facing business.
Total operating performance growth
in the first half of 2016 was affected by a high prize pay-out amounting to EUR
37 million. Thanks to a special insurance policy covering a large portion (EUR
20 million) of this big win, the overall impact on total operating performance
was only EUR 17 million. The impact of the big winner was further mitigated by
increased revenue from instant win games, and higher average spend from the
customer base, resulting in total operating performance of EUR 61.4 million,
representing a decrease of only EUR 4.1 million on prior period.
'Normalised' revenue(1) of EUR 69.5
million increased by EUR 1.5 million period on period, despite the distraction
of the Euro 2016 Championship, as well as lower average jackpots.
EBIT in the first six months
amounted to EUR 10.3 million (prior year: EUR 18.5 million) which represents a
decrease of EUR 8.2 million compared to the same period in the prior year. This
decrease was primarily attributable to uncontrollable variances including the
decrease from total operating performance (EUR 4.1 million) together with
period on period adverse exchange movements (EUR 2.8 million).
Earnings per share in the first half
year of 2016 decreased because of above from EUR 1.52 to EUR 0.75.

Group's positive development is in line with its strategic goals. Favourable
European Courts rulings have enabled ZEAL to enhance its marketing

Gambling Commission Shines Light on Virtual Currencies, eSports
and Social Gaming

-- The Gambling Commission has today launched a discussion paper setting out
its latest thinking on virtual currencies, eSports and social gaming and
seeking views on emerging issues that can pose a risk to both regulation and

expansion of digital or virtual currencies resulting in some social

Neil McArthur, General Counsel at
the Gambling Commission, explained: Our key concern is to ensure that
consumers are protected and that children and other vulnerable people are not
harmed or exploited by gambling. This discussion paper brings to the fore some
areas where we see real issues for regulation, player protection and the
protection of children and young people.
We are concerned about
virtual currencies and in-game items, which can be used to gamble.
We are also concerned that not everyone understands that players do not need to
stake or risk anything before offering facilities for gaming will need to be
licensed. Any operator wishing to offer facilities for gambling, including
gambling using virtual currencies, to consumers in Great Britain, must hold an

offering unlicensed gambling must stop or face the consequences.
We are also concerned about
betting on eSports. Like any other market, we expect operators offering markets
on eSports to manage the risks including the significant risk that
children and young people may try to bet on such events given the growing
popularity of eSports with those who are too young to gamble.
Finally, in terms of social
gaming, the Commissions view has not changed significantly since the
publication of its social gaming paper in January 2015. But,
cautions Mr McArthur, if we discover that items such as additional spins,
credits or tokens or even loyalty points are tradeable, then we will be taking
a keen interest.
Interested parties have until 30
September to respond. The Commission will also be looking for suitable
opportunities during the Autumn for direct engagement prior to issuing a
position paper towards the end of the year.

MALTA (August 12, 2016) -- In
December 2015, the Malta Gaming Authority (the Authority) published
its Position Paper on Digital Games of Skill with Prize following a public
The Authority stated that in view of
the element of skill and knowledge involved in fantasy sports, such an activity
should be differentiated from games of chance in terms of licensing and
This relates specifically to fantasy
sports where players choose virtual representations of real-life athletes,
where the value and points attributed to an athlete reflect the athletes
performance in actual sporting events, and where the outcome is determined
predominantly by skill and knowledge rather than by chance.
The Authority also took the position
that such games still warrant regulatory intervention which is appropriate and
proportionate to address the level of risk presented to the consumer.
The Maltese Government is committed
to introduce legislation to regulate certain skill games which may present
increased risks to the consumer. In this regard, the proposed Skill Games
Regulations have been notified to the European Commission as part of the
process for the Authority to roll out its licensing framework to regulate such
skill-based games, including fantasy sports.
In the interim, the Minister for
Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy, the Hon. Dr
Emmanuel Mallia, has, on advice of the Authority, published the attached Legal
Notice 271 of 2016, entitled the Fantasy Sports (Exemption) Regulations (S.L.
438.10), exempting fantasy sports from the requirement of a gambling licence
issued in terms of the Lotteries and Other Games Act (Chapter 438 of the Laws
of Malta) or the Remote Gaming Regulations (S.L. 438.04).
In effect, during this temporary
period and until the proposed regulatory framework for skill games is put into
force, the Authority shall be open to receiving interests via ad hoc
notifications, in order to closely monitor these operations and evaluate
potential risks to the consumer.

voluntarily notify their operations to the Authority via the form provided
