last 23 years.
In addition, IMagine S.A.M, a LUDI
associated company, will provide French customers with seamless support and
service by leveraging legacy GTECH systems experience.

INTRALOT Selected Again as the Gaming Vendor for the New Mexico

NCPG Announce Responsible Gambling Verification Program for
GENEVA, Ohio (October 20, 2015) -
The North American Association of
State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) today announced a new responsible
gambling framework and independent verification program for its member
lotteries. Partnering with NASPL in this important effort is the National
Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).
"The recognition of problem
gambling issues within the lottery industry over the course of the past decade
has been nothing short of remarkable," said NASPL Executive Director David
Gale. "Whereas at one point it was considered a taboo subject that shouldn't
be openly addressed, we have evolved now to launch what I consider a crowning
achievement of NASPL."
Lotteries have certainly taken the
lead in responsible gambling programs in the United States. "For the first
time a segment of the U.S. gambling industry has adopted a responsible gaming
framework and independent verification process," said NCPG Executive Director
Keith Whyte. "We congratulate NASPL members for their recognition of problem
gambling and their embrace of responsible gaming."
The new program has three levels of
verification. The first level ("Plan") is for lotteries that have not yet
developed a robust responsible gambling program - by submitting an application
at this level, lotteries will have experts in the field critique their plans
and help them move towards the next level. The second level ("Implementation")
assesses current programs and results for lotteries with more advanced
responsible gambling programs. The third level ("Sustaining") will review

An independent assessment panel,
under the guidance of the NCPG, will review all applications for verification.
The eight areas of assessment include research, employee training, retailer
training, player education, new/existing product oversight, budget, advertising

selected to participate in the pilot program. "The first wave of lotteries is
being limited as we want to ensure the procedures and infrastructure are in
place for the program to be successful," said Alice Garland, chair of the NASPL
Responsible Gambling Committee and Executive Director of the North Carolina
Education Lottery. Lotteries wishing to be part of the pilot program must
provide a short initial statement to the NCPG by October 30. That statement
should indicate why their lottery should be considered for the pilot and that
they are willing to help other jurisdictions participate in the process.
The NCPG will select the four
lotteries in early November, and their applications will be accepted in
mid-January. It is expected that the first round of verification results will
be announced in March 2016 after evaluation by the independent assessment

will begin a review of the entire process. "Once we make sure everything is
in place to move forward, all U.S. lotteries will be invited to
participate," said Garland.

Lottery Warns of New Scam Involving
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (October 22,
2015) - The Oklahoma Lottery
Commission is warning Oklahomans of a new scam affecting Facebook users
There is a post circulating on
Facebook that allows users to click on a link taking them to a website claiming
that Powerball is giving away a
$1 million jackpot instantly. The website address includes various misspellings
of Powerball, including "Powerbooll" and "Pawerball".
There is also a letter circulating
with a fraudulent offer from the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) offering prizes of
$2.5 million for a raffle promotion. The letter also mentions Powerball, Mega
Millions, Publisher's Clearing House and Reader's Digest as contributors. One
of the telephone numbers listed on the letter is (778) 710-0974.
"The information in the letters
and Facebook posts is fraudulent and not associated with any officially
recognized lottery," said Rollo Redburn, Executive Director. "No
legitimate lottery organization will ask for up-front payment(s) in order to
claim a prize." Redburn also pointed out a couple more things to remember:
"When you play a lottery game, lottery employees don't know the identity of
winners until they come forward to claim their prize; and, if you didn't buy a
lottery ticket or personally enter a drawing, you won't be winning a lottery
prize so don't respond to someone calling and asking for your personal

(October 20, 2015) -- Lottery industry leaders are responsible for enforcing
the integrity of their games which depends largely on the reliability and
integrity of the RNG system that a lottery uses. With the recent conviction in
Iowa and with further discoveries of RNG fraud cases in two other states,
senior management is questioning the integrity of their own electronic drawing
machines. As experts in lottery RNG systems and suppliers of a RNG system with
100% fraud detection, we propose a solution to RNG integrity and insider fraud
Most of currently deployed
electronic drawing systems use multiple levels of security: they are provided
by independent suppliers, deployed in protected environments, secured with
external and internal checks, certified by outside laboratories, and use
independent parties to ensure the integrity of the draw process. While levels
of protection differ between suppliers and operators and across different
lotteries, all RNG systems share a risk of potential attack: they may be
compromised by determined and skilled insiders.
The security director of
MUSL, providing a RNG draw system, was able
to defraud multiple lotteries despite their specific security measures. Another
serious concern was that traces of fraud were not found on the respective draw
systems. This lack of evidence does not indicate a lack of fraud but a lack of
security within the RNG system. In fact, most RNG systems do not offer

-- The Pokie Nation documentary screened on ABC tonight presented
no credible evidence about Australian poker machines. The program was
unbalanced and consequently not credible.
Every Australian poker machine game
is forensically audited by independent testing laboratories and by state and
territory regulators before it is approved for use.
It is nonsense to suggest that
laboratories and regulators dont take their responsibilities seriously
and equally nonsensical to suggest that licensed poker machine suppliers
seek to provide games for any purpose other than entertainment.
The program was not factually
accurate. It didnt mention that around 140,000 Australian jobs are an
outcome of poker machines. It didnt mention that over $5 billion annually
is paid in taxes as a result of poker machines.
It didnt mention that millions
of dollars are generously donated annually by hospitality venues with poker
machines, to worthy community causes which would otherwise go unfunded.
But the biggest omission was that
millions of people in Australia and around the world enjoy playing poker
machines regularly and do not experience any problems.
About half of Australias poker
machines are located in NSW which legalised poker machines in 1956. The
only jurisdiction worldwide with a longer history of legislated, regulated
poker machines is Nevada USA which legalised them in the 1930s. 2.3% of the
worlds gaming machines are located in Nevada and 1.2% are in NSW.
