Ten questions for ....
DIANNE THOMPSON, Chief Executive Officer, Camelot Group.
What was your first job?
A: Product & Group Product Manager
Co-Operative Wholesale Society
Q: Name a business leader you
A: Jack Welch, Chairman and CEO of
General Electric between 1981 and 2001. During his tenure, the Company's value

A: Hard work, self-belief, honesty and a
passion for the business that you work for.
What's the best piece of advice you have ever
A: My parents. They taught me that you
had to work hard to succeed and to believe that I could achieve whatever I
wanted to in life. This is something my mum and dad instilled in me from a very
early age and it's the philosophy that's got me to where I am today.
What is your greatest regret in business?
A: Delaying the

Q: What are you

Q: What are the highs of your
A: All of it! I come to work every day
to create millionaires and to raise millions each week for National Lottery
Good Causes. And I work with an incredible team to do it.
And the lows?
A: The time it takes for political and
regulatory decisions to be made.
Q: How do you achieve work life
A: Prioritising. When I first started
out I did not get the balance right, but over the years I have learnt to
prioritise my work life and my family life. My daughter is the most important
thing in the world to me and I will always make time for her no matter what is
happening at work.
