Background Information

CAIXA stimulates dreams of wealth and a better life with the Federal Lotteries, of which it controls the monopoly since 1961.

With a revenue over R$ 4,4 billion, the CAIXA Lotteries have had a record performance in 2005. Of this total, almost R$ 2 billion have been repassed to the federal government, composing an important source of funds to the social sector.
In 2006 CAIXA will finish the process of implementation of a new lottery model, bringing more security, efficiency and speed to the lottery system. 25 thousand terminals will be installed in the almost 9 thousand lottery units throughout the country.
